You’re Almost There

Oftentimes, after the buyers go into the escrow office to sign, they ask me questions like, “When do I get my keys?” and “When can we move in?” If you are a buyer, chances are you have had these questions.

These are good questions because by this time nearly 30 days have passed since finding the home of your dreams. You’re excited to move in and get settled.

You have fallen in love with your new home. You have completed all the inspections. The house has been appraised. Your lender told you last week that you are fully approved. You have gone into the title company, met with the escrow officer and signed your closing papers. What’s next?

You will visit your bank to transfer your down payment to the escrow company. In the meantime, the lender will take one last look to make sure everything is in order. Once they are satisfied, the lender will send funds to the escrow company and your agent will be notified.

Once the escrow company receives all the money to pay for your home, they record the closing papers with the County Recorder’s Office. Once again, your agent will be notified, but this time will contact you with congratulations!!! You will arrange a time to meet at the home to get your keys. Welcome Home!!!

Welcome Home!
